Easter
Each year for Holy Week, Pastor Austin presents a nightly drama series tracing the last week of Christ’s life. The presentations are given in first person narrative. They are told as those who are witnessing the final events of Christ’s life here on earth. It starts each evening at 7:00pm and lasts one hour. There are light refreshments following each evening presentation. The culmination of the week in an Easter Sunday morning presentation followed by a brunch, complete with an Easter hunt for the children. We would like to have you join us for the Easter Week celebration.

During Easter Week we also build and interactive prayer exhibit that all are encouraged to take part in. Draw closer to God as you visually express your prayers either in writing or action. Kneel before God’s throne, drink of the living water, cast your burden into the depths. Come away and pray. Leave refreshed with a new view of God

June -Camp meeting In June the Seventh-day Adventist churches of Pennsylvania hold an old fashioned camp meeting near Hamburg, PA. The dates this year are June 12-20, 2009. Anyone is invited to attend for the day, the week or only the weekend. The speakers are excellent. Seminars are presented on spiritual growth, Bible study, health, marriage and family, and personal finance. There is programming for anyone from birth to maturity. Members are encouraged to grow spiritually and then take what they have learned back to their local congregations and apply it.

September
In September the Adventist churches of western Pennsylvania sponsor a fall camp meeting at Laurel Lake Camp near Pauxautawny, PA. It is a one day event held on a Saturday. Area churches lead out in the worship services, a guest speaker shares information on spiritual growth and in the afternoon there is a musical concert. It is a beautiful location to have a day away, slow down, fellowship, and reconnect with God.

*The last Sunday in September our church sponsors an International Food Festival. It is used as a fundraiser for ADRA International. We choose a specific area of need and try to raise money for that area. The last three years we have bought goats for child headed families in Africa. Each year we have raised more money than the year before. Native food is served from across the globe. Last year there were approximately 15 different nationalities represented. It is a wonderful event that is looked forward to all year long. Please come and join us, but only if you are hungry.

December Our church has an annual Christmas program each year the Saturday prior to Christmas holiday. It is a 2 hour program filled with music poetry, stories and song. It begins with a brunch at 10:00 a.m. The program runs from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. If you are not in the Christmas spirit, come and join us and you soon will be; or if you just love Christmas, come and enjoy.
