Steel City Adventurer Club

Steel City Adventurer Club is a kids and family club for children ages 4-9 and their parents. We meet three times a month. Our meetings are the first Saturday afternoon of each month for outreach. We then have regular club meetings on the 1st and 3rd Sunday mornings of each month.

The goal of the club is to strengthen family relationships and to help children grow physically, mentally, and spiritually. We want each child to learn that Jesus is their best friend.

We spend time each meeting in learning a Bible story, fun activities and simple march and drill. Some of the activities this year are:

Fish Award -Rainbow Promise -Music Maker -Cooking Fun
-Recipe Collector -Caring Friend -Sign Language -Basket Maker
-Sewing Fun -Early Pioneers -Tin Can Fun -Build and Fly
-Guide

We also have two yearly family campouts. The first is in April at Laurel Lake Camp near Pauxatawny, PA. The second is over Memorial Day Weekend at West Branch State Park in Ohio. These are fun weekends that are looked forward to all year.

Our club is also preparing for the International Camporee in Oshkosh, WI in August of 2009. We will be meeting with over 30,000 other pathfinders to spend a week of fun, games and spiritual growth.

Our Adventurer club also sponsors a yearly Valentines party for the residents of a personal care home in Oakmont. This year our club members made picture books as gifts for each of the residents. We also put on a little Valentines program with music, poems and stories.

If you would like to join our Adventurer club the next registration is August 23, 2009 and 10:00am. The dues are $5.00 a mother per person. We love to have new members.
