The Pittsburgh church has been making throw blankets for the pediatric department
at the hospital for the last four years.
Our project began small with our adventurer children wanting to help other kids.
It has grown from that time to include a majority of the congregation in one way
or another.
We now tie blankets the first Saturday afternoon of each month. The blankets are
then washed, bagged with a small story book and delivered to the childhood specialist
at the hospital. The church makes between 600-800 blankets each year.
We accept monetary donations toward the purchase of fleece and always are looking
for willing hands to assist in the tying. Come and join us.
